Windmill farm on my first flight from NY > Amsterdam

Instead of taking a typical canal tour, I rented a bike for 24 hours to see as much of the city as I could. I rented the "Dutch" bike with only 3 gears and a pedal break instead of the more familiar hand brake bike to get a more authentic local experience. The average Dutch person must be a lot taller than me because I could not touch the ground even when my bike seat was at the lowest setting. The first half hour was a struggle getting used to the too high of a seat and pedal breaks.

I biked around an empty Vondelpark in the rain

I saw children, groceries, and even someone's grandma sitting in these little front wagons. The cutest things!

Supposedly the Dutch aren't the best known for their food except for the Dutch pancakes. I devoured this ham and cheese pancake that reminded me of a crepe

Two teens laughing, having the grandest time whilst seeing along the canal and enjoying the sunset.
One of my favorite parts of Europe is the amount of outdoor cafes you see. So many adults that seem so chill and content enjoying the present, fresh air and each other's company.

The first travelers I befriended on my entire Europe trip

The only Koreans I saw during my entire time in Amsterdam was a middle age tourist couple. But there must be more that I didn't see for this place to exist?
